The term "boss babe" gets thrown around a lot.

What exactly is a boss babe?

To me, a boss babe is a woman who is strong and independent, empowers and inspires those around her, contributes to her community, stands up for what she believes in, lives out her passions, and has the confidence to walk around every day knowing that she's killing it, no matter what she's doing.  It doesn't matter whether you are in the corporate world, an entrepreneur, or a stay at home mom, we all can be boss babes.

The Buffalo Boss Babes blog was started by Carrie Rinehart, the mastermind behind Rusterior (she sells the coziest sweatshirts ever...seriously, check her out!)  She's profiled a variety of women in the Buffalo area, including myself, and her blog gives a more intimate look at the lives of all of these incredible boss babes in the WNY area.  Read my interview HERE

Carrie has put together something so awesome that I am honored to be a part of.  She has organized the very first Buffalo Boss Babes Speaker Series!  This will be taking place on Saturday, April 21st from 11am-2pm at Buffalo Distilling Co.  This event will consist of a yummy brunch (with cocktails!) and a panel discussion about local women owned businesses and the process from the start to current day.  The panel consists of myself along with Heather Sprauge, owner of Beulahs General Store, Alyson O'Conner, owner of Rust Belt Love, and Christy Muck, owner of Wild Blossom Hollow.  Christy will also be the keynote speaker.

To say that I am excited about this is a complete understatement.  I don't think I have the proper words to describe just how much of an insane opportunity this is for me.  When I started blogging five years ago, I never thought that I would get to this point in my life where I would actually reach "boss babe" status.  I live life every day so incredibly grateful that I get the chance to work with these amazing women on a regular basis.

Tickets are on sale now (and are very limited!) and can be purchased HERE.  If you will be attending, I would love to hear from you and, of course, get the chance to meet you at the event!  I'm so thankful for all of your support and love you all so much.  See you there!
